NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 22, 2006) – Lenny’s Franchisor, LLC, franchisor of Lenny’s Sub Shops, has selected Cybera Inc. to provide broadband wide area networking services to support data communications for 94 operating locations and more than 600 future franchise locations.
Cybera has installed a SmartNetwork™ solution in 42 Lenny’s stores to date and plans to finish the remaining restaurants by the end of the year. Technology is an important part of Lenny’s growth strategy as they intend to double in size by the end of 2007. Lenny’s has granted more than 700 franchises in 17 states from California to Virginia.
“Cybera’s SmartNetwork provided an affordable, reliable and managed networking solution that would give us a centralized POS system and allow our franchisees to monitor sales and other information,” said Anita Howald, director of information technology for Lenny’s Franchisor. “Cybera has a proven track record of success and a clear understanding of the unique needs of the quick serve market.”
Lenny’s selected Cybera after an RFP process involving large carriers and a five-month pilot to test SmartNetwork.
“Lenny’s decision to implement technology for its franchisees is very important to protecting the quality and consistency of the experience – for customers and franchisees alike,” said Cliff Duffey, Cybera chief executive officer and president. “We look forward to being partners with them as they grow.”
According to Howald, SmartNetwork is having an immediate impact by reducing credit card transactions from 30 seconds to less than 3 seconds.
Lenny’s is one of more than 100 multi-location, enterprise businesses across the United States that Cybera now serves. Cybera received an infusion of private debt funding earlier this year that will bring more service features to a broader range of customers.
