Cybera Inc. has signed a deal to install a virtual private network connecting 63 La Madeleine stores in six states and Washington, D.C.
La Madeleine, a French bakery and cafe will replace its existing frame relay network with Cybera's SmartNetwork. The company plans to use the network's broadband capacity for business information, improved turnaround of store-based information and enhancements to corporate communication.
Terms of the contract weren't disclosed. They stores are located in Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
"The SmartNetwork solution works very well for large restaurant organizations who are looking to move from low bandwidth frame relay to something more cost effective," says Cliff Duffey, Cybera's president and CEO.
Founded in 2001, Nashville-based Cybera sells high-speed networking services.
